PURPOSE:To suppress drop of the capacity associate with progress of the charging/discharging cycles and construct a lightweight battery with lesser self-discharging and excellent characteristics by structuring powder-form Li composite oxides to be used as a pos. electrode active substance so that its specific surface are has a certain specified m<2>/g value. CONSTITUTION:Powder-form Li composite oxides to be used as pos. electrode 2 active substance shall have a specific surface area of 0.01-3.0m<2>/g, wherein the formation of the Li composite oxides shall start with three sorts of carbonates of Li, Co, and Ni. Among them two sorts or more of carbonates incl. Li carbonate are mixed, and the mixture of carbonates is baked in oxygen atmosphere. Metal Li, Li alloy, etc., are used as the active substance of a neg. electrode 1, while Li salt solution in non-aqueous (organic) solvent is used as the non-aqueous electrolyte. Thereby drop of the capacity associate with the charging/discharging cycles is suppressed, and a lightweight battery with lesser self-discharge and excellent characteristics is achieved. |
