PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. which has a high m.p. and is powdery, stable, and easy to handle by mixing a solid polyester polyol prepd. by reacting a specific glycol mixture with an org. acid with a solid polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is prepd. by mixing a solid polyester polyol, prepd. by reacting a glycol mixture contg. at least 50mol% glycol of formula I with an org. acid, with a difunctional or higher polyisocyanate which is solid at room temp. In formula I, R is OH or a group of formula II or III; and n and m are each 1-5. Since a 6-membered heterocyclic ring of formula IV contained in formula I is excellent in heat resistance, a polyester polyol or a polyurethane having the rings in the molecule has an excellent heat resistance, and the higher the content of the ring, the higher the heat resistance. Therefore, the above glycol mixture contains 50mol% or higher glycol of formula I. |
