The present invention is of a distributed-constant circuit type magnetic field detector having a magnetic member (2), permeability of which varies with changes in a magnetic field applied thereto, disposed at a point where a magnetic field is produced in a distributed-constant circuit (1) and a change in electromagnetic field distribution in the distributed-constant circuit (1) produced upon application to the magnetic member (2) of the magnetic field to be detected is adapted to be measured and thereby the magnetic field to be detected is measured. According to the present invention, magnetic reproduction, i.e., magnetic detection, with high sensitivity and excellent high-frequency characteristics can be achieved. When applied to a magnetic reproducing head, it can effectively meet the demand for higher packing density of magnetic record and higher frequency magnetic recording. <IMAGE>
