PURPOSE: To obtain a space communication system capable of easily extending communication quantity. CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with at least one multi-beam transmitting antenna 10 and at least one multi-beam receiving antenna 11 defining the range of an adjacent or non-adjacent area Zi for each beam to be transmitted and received and these antennas 10, 11 are arranged on a satellite 12. At least one of the transmitting and receiving antennas 10, 11 can reconstitute its system and mutually substitue beams to be applied and a transmitting wave received by the antenna is relayed from the area Z1 to an area Z2, from the area Z2 to an area Z3 and finally relayed up to an area Zx. Thus mutual contact among all the areas Z1 to Zx can be obtained by the substitution. |
