<p>Appts. is intended for settlements producing effluent water at the rate of 1-5 m3/day. The treatment unit is provided with a common aeration/settling space. Air injection and clean water discharge are arranged to be intermittent. Clean water is removed at the end of the quiescent period by a floating discharge. Timing of the aeration and quiescent periods and the volume of clean water discharged can all be adjusted. Circulation of water in the treatment vessel is assured in the transverse and longitudinal directions.</p>
