This method of coal gasification by means of heat and steam includes cooling of the product gas in heat exchangers in which high-pressure and low-pressure steam is produced. The gas is cooled to below the condensation point of the steam contained in it, and this steam is separated as condensate, treated and returned into the process. The condensate is evaporated in the evaporator F, and the steam thus produced is fed to the gas producer A.
