The method counters the jamming of an electronic scanning aerial with digital control of phase-shifters inserted into the supply lines of the elementary sources. The phase shifts of each phase-shifter are successively modified by the addition and then subtraction of the displayed phase shift of an elementary value of phase shift. For each of the values obtained, the level of the received signal is measured. A comparison of these levels for each phase-shifter enables the value of the phase shift for which the measured level is a minimum to be maintained. For a given aerial, this produces an optimum phase law giving a radiation pattern with dips in the direction of the jammers. <IMAGE>
