PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of metal caused by hydrolysis of a refrigerant, by adding small amounts of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and 2,5-dimercapto-1, 3,4-thiazole to a refrigerant consisting of dichlorodifluoromethane. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerant compsn. if prepared by adding (B) 0.01-2pts.wt. 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, (C) 0.01-2pts.wt. 2,5-dimercaptobenzothiazole and pref. (D) 0.1-2pts.wt. propylene glycol to (A) 100pts.wt. dichlorodifluoromethane. Addition of a soluvbilizer (e.g. isopropanol or dimethylformamide) facilitates dissolution of (B) and (C) in (A). The refigerant compsn. is esp. suitable for a refrigerant device of an automobile. |
