CULTURES OF PERMANENT LINES OF HUMAN PROMYELOCYTE CELLS AND THEIR USE FOR SCREENING MOLECULES USEFUL PARTICULARLY IN TREATING LEUKEMIAS

The invention concerns permanent cell lines characterized in that they consist essentially of human promyelocyte cells characteristic of acute promyelocytic leukemias, these cells being cytogenetically characterized by a translocation t(15;17), capable of indefinite proliferation in a culture medium. It also concerns the use of these cell lines, particularly for screening molecules capable of inducing cell maturation. L'invention a pour objet des lignées cellulaires permanentes, caractérisées en ce qu'elles sont essentiellement constituées de cellules promyélocytaires humaines caractéristiques des leucémies aigües promyélocytaires, ces cellules étant cytogénétiquement caractérisées par une translocation t(15;17), susceptibles de proliférer indéfiniment dans un milieu de culture. Elle concerne également l'utilisation de ces lignées cellulaires, notamment pour le criblage de molécules susceptibles d'induire la maturation cellulaire.
