PURPOSE: To sterilize a lens through simple operating in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A lens sterilizer is provided with a case sized and formed handy for a user, 1st section 12 of the case for specifying an upside opened 1st compartment sized and formed for storing the prescribed quantity of solution and a pair of lenses in the solution, electrode means for specifying a pair of 1st and 2nd electrodes arranged on the bottom part of the 1st compartment, 2nd section 13 of the case for specifying a 2nd compartment, power supply means provided inside the 2nd compartment so as to be activated for supplying currents to the electrodes in order to electrolyze one part of solution at least, and switch means provided on the case so as to be used for activating the current supply means. Concerning an electrolytic sterilizing method for lens, the lenses are contacted with buffer physiological saline solution while keeping the pH of solution at eye resistant level and while letting the currents flow into the solution in order to form the effective quantity of sterilizer in the solution. |
