<p>PURPOSE:To provide an automatic paper feeding mechanism on which a large number of paper sheets can be set without using an expensive mechanism, in the automatic feeding mechanism which is used in a recording device of a printer, a copying machine, a facsimile and the like. CONSTITUTION:An automatic paper feeding mechanism is equipped with a separation claw 4, which disposes of sheets fed, a cassette case 11, which is equipped with a vertically movable press plate 13, a paper feeding roller 2, and a moving mechanism which presses sheets set on top of the press plate 13 onto the paper feeding roller 2 and also moves the press plate 13 upward as the number of sheets lessens. The moving mechanism is composed of, for example, a pair of levers 12A, 12B, which are provided on the back side of the press plate 13 in parallel in the paper feeding direction, gears 16A, 16B, which are fixed to the levers 12A, 12B concentrically with the turning center, and an energizing means 17, which energizes the lever 12B so that its end portion may press the backside of the press plate 13, while the end portion of the lever 12A engages with the backside of the press plate 13.</p> |
