PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for evaluating the laser temperature based on the ratio of lights. CONSTITUTION: Working temperature of a laser can be evaluated by determining the ratio of lights of different wavelength generated from the laser. For example, a copper vapor laser emits green and yellow lights of different wavelength. These wavelengths depend on the temperature. The ratio of green light to yellow light is preferably in the region of 2:1 under optimal operating conditions. The ratio is determined using green and yellow filters 3, 4 having light dependent resistors 6, 7 forming input and feedback resistors in an amplifier circuit 9. |
