Equipment esp. for cleaning textile surfaces has a motor-driven plate with brushes. This plate is made of insulating material such as wood, plastics or ceramics, in which the bristles are embedded or cast in position; the bristles are held in a layer of foam on their side of the plate, a cushion of (pref.) fleecy type fabric is applied to nd is held by the bristles, and this cushion contains an inserted layer of plastic material. Pref. material for the cushion is a layer of nylon/fabric inside a cotton covering, and the bristles are pref. plastic. ADVANTAGE - The product is hand-held and motor-driven. It cleans without drawing off dust particles, so that it has a simple construction. Its action does not generate differences in potential so that it does not interfere with (e.g.) computer appts., electronic equipment etc.
