The nozzle-like material channel (10) (with outlet slot 9) of the headbox is limited by two flow-stream walls (11 and 12). At the outlet end of the upper flow-stream wall (12) is a movable diaphragm (13) with which a large number of adjusting spindles (14) distributed over the width of the machine engage. At the end of each adjusting spindle (14) away from the diaphragm (13) there is a spindle drive (20). At the upper end of each spindle (14) is a measuring device (15) to determine the location of the diaphragm. It has a measuring housing (17) and a measuring component (29) movable therein. The latter is closely secured to the diaphragm (13) independently of the spindle (14) via a measuring rod (16). The measuring housing (17) is closely connected to the region of the flow-stream wall (12) near the diaphragm via an elongated, tubular measurement marking (19). |
