The differential pressure measurement cell has two membranes (2,3) between which are one or more fluid-filled transfer chambers. Two transfer vol. regions (4,5) lie adjacent to the facing sides of the membranes. A signal line (10) is fed to a flexural element (11) mounted in a space (23) between the membranes with a fluid connection to at least one of the transfer vol. regions. The fluid connection is made via a gap (27) whose width to length ratio does not exceed a value required for ignition and combustion safety. ADVANTAGE - For inflammable or explosive materials. Compact with simple design which achieves ignition and combustion safety.
