<p>A fence consists of a plurality of modular frame elements 2 which are provided with meshing or the like. At each end, each frame element has a depending tubular member 5 to be received in a mounting block 10. The mounting block 10 comprises a member formed e.g. of concrete. The block has a main rectangular portion and a projecting portion which has a width equal to substantially half the width of the main body portion. The projecting portion has an aperture formed in it to receive the depending tube 5 from the frame. The mounting block of adjacent frame elements are aligned as shown with the projecting portions lying adjacent each other, and the two blocks located end-to-end so as to provide a very substantial weight, e.g. 80 kgs, to support the fence. <IMAGE></p> |
