This material is used for insulation in sandwich-type panels, as internal partition walls in buildings, or internal insulation for concrete panels. It has a high strength index, a low heat conductivity coefficient, simple production technology, high fire resistance, as well as a relatively long life of use and environmental safety. The insulating material is based on perlite (or vermiculite, or diatomite) and water, and contains (in weight p.) : ground sand or silicate inert materials (from 1 to 60) and water glass (from 1 to 60). Perlite, vermiculite and diatomite weigh from 35 to 50, while water weighs from 5 to 50. Where needed, it contains (in weight p.) : sodium silicofluoride (1 to 10), china clay or clay (1 to 15), aluminium hydroxide (between 1 to 15), blast-furnace slag (1 to 10), zinc oxide (1 to 20), cement (1 to 120) and molasses (5 to 15).
