<p>PURPOSE: To diversify the useful structure of a laminated varistor by equipping a varistor in cylindrical structure with ceramic layers and electrode material layers and sandwiching each ceramic layer between two electrode material layers. CONSTITUTION: A connection pin 31 of a multi-layered varistor has an inter- electrode ceramic layer 32 between electrode layers 33. A ceramic end layer 34 has large thickness and/or different composition. An external terminal cap 35 is provided to the outer periphery of the cylindrical connection pin 31, and an internal terminal cap 36 is provided in a center bore 37 (axial hole penetrating the connection pin). A crossing electrode layer 33 reaches the surface of a ceramic material or the internal terminal cap 36 so as to be connected electrically to the external terminal cap 35.</p> |
