<p>PURPOSE:To allow a system to speedily recover from a runaway state by detecting abnormal oscillation of an oscillation circuit effectively and resetting a system which is supplied with the oscillation output. CONSTITUTION:The abnormal oscillation detecting circuit resets a counter 13 which counts the oscillation output of the oscillation circuit and generates a system reset signal when its counted value reaches a specific value by timer means 14-20, constituted by using time constant circuits, at specific intervals of time where the counted value of said counter 13 in normal operation does not reaches the specific value, so that the counter 13 generates the system reset signal before being reset by the timer means 14-20 if the oscillation circuit oscillates abnormally.</p> |
