PURPOSE:To easily confirm the existence direction of an obstacle by detecting the direction in which the obstacle for an own vehicle exists and outputting an alarm so that the direction can be confirmed on the basis of the result of the detection. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 3 installed at four corners of a vehicle 1 detect the existence of an obstacle 2. When the detection information is inputted into an alarm device 4, a CPU 6 switches each delay time for variable delay circuits 9FL-9FR and each amplification rate of amplifiers 8FL-8RR according to the direction of the obstacle 2. For instance, if the obstacle 2 approaches from the right rear, the delya time is set in the relation 9FL>9FR>9RL>9RR, and sets the amplification rate in the relation 8RR>8RL>8FR>8FF. The alarm signal supplied from an alarm signal source 7 is outputted from speakers 5FL-5RR, setting each with time difference and intensity defference. As the obstacle 2 approaches, each difference in the delay time and amplification rate is reduced. Accordingly, the feeling of presence is developed as if alarm is generated from the obstacle 2. |
