PURPOSE:To enable printing of high picture qualities by controlling generation of satellite particles in an optimum state with respect to picture quality. CONSTITUTION:On receipt of a command from a MPU, a reference oscillator CG makes a reference clock CLK variable, while a multiplexer MP, on receipt of a command from the MPU, makes the phase theta of excitation PCLK variable and a vibrator drive VD makes excitation voltage psi variable on receipt of a command from the MPU. Therefore, if reference clock CLK, phase theta of excitation signal PCLK and excitation voltage psi are set appropriately, the vibrator 3 excites the nozzle 1 to atomize ink jet in such a manner that satellite particles are generated in an optimum state with respect to picture qualities. Electric charge of ink particles is controlled by electric charge signals based on image data applied to a control electrode 4 via a pulse width modulator PM, synchronization circuit SC and high voltage switch HVS perform high picture quality printing on the record medium. |
