Method for obtaining a multi-layer marker device of the type including a reservoir layer with a macroporous structure, containing a marker liquid, on which is positioned a superficicial microporous printing or marking layer, the outer surface of which is possibly equipped with printing characters, this method being characterised in that the reservoir layer is made up of a felt which is subjected to a brushing treatment in order to stand back up the fibres located on the surface of this felt, these fibres then constituting a plurality of anchoring points for the microporous outer printing or marking layer which is then moulded on to the surface of the said felt.
