The invention relates to a granular growth substrate for cultivating plants, consisting of coherent particles preferably containing 5-95 % m/m clay particles and 95-5 % m/m mineral wool fibres. According to one embodiment the coherent particles contain a mixture of clay particles and mineral wool fibres. According to a second embodiment the coherent particles contain a core of substantially mineral wool fibres and a coating of substantially clay particles. |
