<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the drive action of a thermal head which makes up for heat accumulation properly against the different heat accumulation properties of the thermal head depending upon each previous historical condition using a historical record correction control. CONSTITUTION:The drive mechanism consists of a device to detect a past condition of energization history against current energized dots, a device to count the number of past accumulated energization dots one column back from the current energization column, a device to energize the pulse width to be applied to the current energized dots after dividing it into stages, a device to correct the pulse energization stages of the current energized dots based on an energization historical status detected using the device to detect the energization history, and a device to make the pulse width of each stage of the divided pulse energization variable in accordance with the counted number of the mentioned accumulated energized dots.</p> |
