PURPOSE: To impart a fibrous material with extremely excellent softness and yellowing resistance by applying an organic siloxane polymer containing a specific cyclic diamine to a fibrous material. CONSTITUTION: A polydiorganosiloxane containing a cyclic diamino group composed of 1 to 1,000 units comprising a combination of the units expressed by formula I and formula II (R is hydroxy, a 1-18C univalent hydrocarbon group or hydrocarbonoxy; R' is a bivalent hydrocarbon group containing O and/or N; R" is H or an alkyl having oxygen atom in the form of hydroxy group and/or C=O; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 2 or 3; (n) is 2 or 3) and containing 1-10 mol% of the unit of formula II is emulsified and applied to a natural or synthetic fiber, etc., to impart the fiber with unprecedented improved softness. |
