TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To offer the transmission system for the transmission of television program list information by sending the television program list information as teletext information and allowing a receiver to utilize the information for video recording reservation of a video recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a character signal extraction section 1 extracting a character signal superimposed for a vertical blanking period from a video signal (a) and a teletext program data decoder section 4 decoding a signal discriminated to be a teletext data by a data type discrimination section 3 and expanding the decoded data into a character and a graph for display, and a video recording and reproducing device control section 8 displaying the teletext data onto the screen and generating a control signal to the video recording and reproducing device with control information obtained by the additional data decoder section 6 is used to apply video recording reservation for the video recording and reproducing device 9.
