<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a line concentration unit in a digital exchange system adopting ATM system. CONSTITUTION:The system incorporates plural line concentration units 1(a) to 1(n) housing subscribers respectively and a distribution unit 2 connected to the concentration units, an ATM switch is used for the concentration units 1(a) to 1(n), and transmission system for the entire system is systematized in the ATM system. Accordingly, the quantity of hardware of the concentration units can be reduced, comparing with the conventional system. Since the entire system is systematized in the ATM system, the maintenance of the switches can be facilitated and productivity can be improved.</p> |
