PURPOSE: To prepare a pharmaceutical composition for topical use in an emulsion form comprising 1α,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition for topical use is an emulsion comprising 1α,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol and a pharmaceutically permissible carrier and the pH thereof is buffered within the range of about 6.5 to about 7.5. The composition of this invention has excellent emulsion stability both at ambient and at high temperatures.
