The subject of the invention is a press. The press is composed of a shuttle provided, at each end, with a compression head which moves in a horizontal plane in order to compress the earth in two moulds situated at each end of the working plane, the said shuttle is moved by two hydraulic cylinders (34), the hydraulic compression cylinders (34) are situated on the axis of the shuttle, laterally compared to the latter; the ends of the rods of the cylinders (34) are fixed to vertical reaction plates secured to the framework, the bodies of the cylinders (34) are connected to the shuttle and drive the latter in its movements; the vertical reaction plates are pierced with a hole for discharging the compressed block of earth, the opening of the said hole is controlled by a vertical flap actuated by a hydraulic cylinder (31); the said press is equipped with a device for hydraulic generation and distribution. Press for manufacturing blocks of hypercompressed earth for construction. <IMAGE>
