On a wooden handle, metal tube or any other support (5-Fig. 1), a thickness of organic material of the cotton type or a glass wool or any other material called a "sponge" (1-2-3-...Fig. 1) is adhesively bonded, nailed stapled, etc. The part including this material is soaked in an alcoholate containing colouring salts or borates, or ketones, hydrocarbons, etc. (but there will be no coloration of the flames in these last examples). The impregnated part is then covered with a preferably plastic film (8-Fig. 1), which will be held tight, and therefore sealed, by an adhesive tape (7-Fig. 1) on the handle. It will be possible to create several colours by separating (1-2-3-Fig. 1) the absorbent elements, by a fastening (elastic or other) at 6-6a-etc. Fig. 1, each element being impregnated with a different colour: 1: blue, 2: white, 3: red, for example. The thickness of the film will generate different assembly and leaktightness and, in addition, faster or slower combustion of the alcoholates impregnated in the support. An element (4-Fig. 1) will protect the hand holding the torch. <IMAGE>
