The paper bag has a block bottom in the fold (1) of which is a T-shaped closure part (2) forming a carrying handle (3). The closure part's (2) two T-arms (4) are stuck onto the base flap (5) of the folded base (4). Lengthwise flaps (6,7) of the base fold (1) are stuck onto these T-arms (4). The two lengthwise flaps (6,7) are at least the same width as the T-arms (4) of the closure part (2). A reinforcement sheet (8) is stuck underneath the T-arms (4) into the closure part (2) at least and preferably in the carrying handle (3). ADVANTAGE - The biodegradable paper bag is suitable for packaging flexible, compressed articles.
