The cleaning equiment has a pallet loading station (7), cleaning station (34), pallet unloading station (48), and overhead conveyor (27) betwen stations. Crates (K1) arrive by conveyor at the loading station and are slid into the four pockets of a pallet held with the axis horizontal on a carrier plate (13). The pallet is indexed to accept four containers and then up-ended by a roll-over mechanism (11, 12). It is then picked up and moved to the cleaning station for washing and rinsing cycles using high pressure jets (45), centrifugal drying etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - For cleaning and drying industrial transport crates with or without contents, with improved transport and cleaning time ratio.
