<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the visual confirmation for a cooling condition of a fused coupling in which a heating element is disposed, by applying a irreversible temperature sensing tape for indicating a fusing complete temperature and a reversible temperature sensing tape for indicating a cooling complete temperature on the outer surface of a coupling body. CONSTITUTION:A fused coupling 1 has a coupling body 11 which is made of thermoplastic resin and which is disposed at its inner peripheral part with a heating element 2 with which the inner peripheral part of the coupling body 11 and the outer peripheral parts of two synthetic resin pipes 3, 4 to be coupled together are melted. The coupling body 11 is attached on its outer surface with an irreversible temperature sensing tape 6 which changes its color when the temperature comes to a value higher than a fusing complete temperature and which does not change the color to its original color even though the temperature becomes lower than the fusing completion temperature, and a reversible temperature sensing tape 5 which change its color when the temperature becomes lower than a cooling complete temperature. The irreversible temperature sensing tape 5 and the reversible temperature sensing tape 6 are applied in a juxtapose relationship and are embedded in the outer surface of the coupling body 11. As a result, it is possible to visually check a melt condition and a cooling condition in an easy but precise way.</p> |
