PURPOSE:To protect a human finger from being injured resultant from contact with a blade in motion by providing a ventilating fan switch which is turned off only when a filter frame is mounted on a cover. CONSTITUTION:A frame body 1 fitted into an opening on a kitchen wall is built-in with a blade 4 fixed with a motor 3 horizontally supported by a support arm 2. A shutter 5 is installed in an opening section on an exhaust air side so that ir may be opened and closed freely while a cover 6 having a fan guide section is installed in an opening section on an iar intake side. A filter frame 8 having a filter 7 is installed in the front of the cover 6 in such a manner that it may be freely removed. The cover 6 is closed only when the cover frame 8 is mounted to the cover 6. A switch 9 is also installed to drive a motor 3. When the filter frame 8 is removed from the cover 6 in order to clean or replace the filter 7, the switch 9 mounted to the cover 6 is turned on simultaneously. Even when the power switch should not be turned off by accident, a blade 4 will come to a halt so that it may be possible to protect against injuries resultant from contact with the blade 4 in motion. |
