PURPOSE:To obtain a reinforcing material having excellent strength and uniform ity and useful for racket frame, etc., by fixing fibers such as continuous fibers to a substrate cloth by stitching, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective reinforcing material can be produced by fixing continuous fibers and/or long fibers (e.g. carbon fiber) to a substrate cloth having the form of mat, etc., and made of glass fiber, etc., by stitching and/or bonding. A structural material having excellent strength is obtained by forming the above reinforcing material to a prescribed form, impregnating the material with a polymerizable monomer (e.g. epsilon-caprolactam), a polymerization catalyst (e.g. sodium hydride) and a polymerization initiator (e.g. N-acetyl-epsilon-caprolactam) and thermally curing the impregnated liquid. |
