STEEL CORD FOR REINFORCING RUBBER ARTICLE AND PNEUMATIC RADIAL TIRE

PURPOSE:To obtain the title steel cord having excellent resistance to corrosive fatigue, uniform reduction in tenacity and improved durability by twisting central basic structure with the same axial layer composed of steel filaments to give cord and winding wrapping filament on the cord. CONSTITUTION:1-4 steel filaments are made into a core 1 of central basic structure and a great number of steel filaments are arranged around the cores while making the same twist and pitch as those of the cores 1 to make the same axial layer. Then wrapping filaments 4 are wound on the periphery of the same axial layer at preferably 3-5mm pitch in the same twisting direction as that of the same axial layer to give the objective cord.
