PURPOSE:To facilitate work for fixing an air bag while increasing rigidity of a gas introducing port peripheral part by forming a synthetic resin-made molded part in the peripheral edge part of a gas introducing port of the air bag. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 16 is provided with an accepting port 18 for accepting a point end side of an inflator 14, and a peripheral edge part of this accepting port 18 of the air bag is held between itself and a peripheral edge part of a mounting port 12 by a retaining ring 20. Here by arranging a ring-shaped reinforcing cloth 17 in the inflator accepting port 18 of the air bag 16, a thin synthetic resin-made ring-shaped sheet 26 is formed by injection molding in both obverse/reverse surfaces in a peripheral edge part of the reinforcing cloth. A plurality of protrusions 30 are each provided in this ring-shaped sheet 26. After inserting the protrusions 30 to openings 36, 38 while stud bolts 28 to bolt holes 34B, 34C, the inflator is mounted to a retainer 10 by utilizing the stud bolts 28. |
