PURPOSE:To attain the high fixing properties of a dyestuff, high picture shelf stability and the prevention of the high permeation of the dyestuff by using an image-receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording with an image receiving layer containing a vinylidene chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:An image-receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording is composed of a supporter and an image receiving layer formed onto the supporter. The image receiving layer is formed generally of a binder for the image receiving layer and various additives. A vinylidene chloride resin is employed as the binder for the image receiving layer. It is preferable that a resin is combined with a resin selected from a vinyl chloride resin, a polyester resin and a polycarbonate resin as the vinylidene chloride resin, and the vinyl chloride resin is particularly preferable. A release agent, an anti-oxidant, an UV absorbent, a light stabilizer, a filter (inorganic fine particles or organic resin particles) and a pigment may also be added to the image receiving layer. A plasticizer, a thermal solvent, etc., may also be added as a sensitizer. |
