Fuel reducing oil for fuel oil is manufactured by (A) impregnating 50-300 g dry duckweed with 1000 ml fuel oil (gasoline, kerosene, alcohol, etc) for 5 hrs, while extracting valuable substances from duckweed with agitation, and (B) filtering the extract to produce liquid fuel reducing oil. The produced oil is mixed with fuel oil for practical use. The mixing ratio of fuel reducing oil to fuel oil is 0.1-6:1000 by volume.
