PURPOSE:To prevent a platinum material used for a sensor element from becoming fragile by sealing and fixing a connection section between the support member of the sensor element and a cover with a glazed inorganic connecting agent. CONSTITUTION:A connection section 21 between a ceramic cover 20 and a ceramic stem 15 hermetically supporting lead pins 12 is sealed and fixed with glazed glass. An organic binder is removed in advance before the sealing and fixing, the hydrocarbon in the organic binder is not adsorbed to the platinum electrode and lead wires 9 of a sensor element 1 to be reacted, and the platinum material can be prevented from becoming fragile. |
