PURPOSE:To prevent significant picture element data in the peripheral part of the peripheral picture element of an objective area to be pre-processed from vanishing by outputting inputted local picture data as it is without executing pre-processing when a picture element block to be pre-processed includes the peripheral picture element in the objective area to be pre-processed. CONSTITUTION:The pre-processing circuit of picture data is provided with an edge detecting part 4 for detecting whether a processing window 5 is out of the objective area to be pre-processed or not. Then, the operation mode of a pre-processing executing part 2 is switched to a through mode to output the local picture data inputted to the pre-processing executing part 2 as it is without executing the pre-processing by an output signal at the time of when the edge detecting part 4 detects that the pre-processing window 5 is out of the objective area to be pre-processing. Thus, the vanishment of the significant picture data in the peripheral part of the peripheral picture element in the objective area to be pre-processed can be prevented. |
