PURPOSE:To rapidly contract to print in a line direction without editing by a firmware by variably setting a reading range of a video RAM and a period for sending print data. CONSTITUTION:Print data generated from a character generator and print data given externally are temporarily stored in a video RAM, read, and sent to a timing controller 4. A clock controller 3 sends a latch clock 8 of a first clock having a constant frequency to a print execution unit 5, and sends a data transfer clock 6 of a second clock to be altered in frequency to the controller 4. The controller 4 sends print data applied from the controller 3 to the unit 5 as print data 7 in a period of the clock 6. The unit 5 executes printing of the data 7 in the period of the clock 8. |
