The goods-storage system uses a frame (1) on a supporting body and containing a number of shelves (6) in vertical rows, formed by storage conveyors (7). Hoist and lowering mechanisms(2,3) with load supports(8) are situated at the loading and discharge ends of the storage conveyors, and travel along the loading and discharging fronts of the frame, having means for coupling to each of the conveyors. A transfer conveyor(4) parallel to the storage ones when seen in plan view, and a receiving and delivery station for the goods, are included. The transfer conveyor travels horizontally at right angles to the storage ones, and is coupled by the ends of its frame(9) to those (10,11) of the hoist and lowering mechanisms. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity, and maximum use of surface area.
