PURPOSE:To prevent exposure of a core wire at the time of pressure connection of a wire to a pressure contact terminal part by applying chamfering to end parts on the flat cable introducing side and outgoing side and end parts of upper surfaces of a plural protrusions at a cable pressure part. CONSTITUTION:Being pushed down with a second cable housing 10, insulation materials between wires of a flat cable are cut by blades of a first cable housing 5 and the second cable housing 10, and the wires are pressure connected with terminal parts of contacts. In this process, each insulation material between the two adjacent wires is torn along chamfered parts 20A, 20B in upper surfaces of partition walls 19A, 19B of the first cable housing 5, and along chamfered parts 21A, 21B in upper surfaces of protrusions 11A, 11B of the second cable housing 10. When the flat cable 4 is pressure connected with a terminal part 22 of a connector, therefore, possibilities of breaking insulation film of each wire to expose the core wire are reduced. |
