PURPOSE:To enable a nozzle to return to its starting point by a method wherein the rotation of the nozzle is restrained by a brake when it is detected that the nozzle is deviated from its starting point through a starting point detection sensor, a theta rotation drive pawl is set coincident with the groove of the nozzle, and the nozzle is rotated. CONSTITUTION:Nozzles 1 are arranged in a circle and rotated in the direction of an arrow R. When the nozzle 1 is located at a component sucking position(a), it sucks a chip type electronic component 3 through vacuum suction. When the nozzle 1 is located at a theta rotational position (b) by actuating a drive 2, the nozzle 1 is made to rotate by a nozzle theta rotation drive and set to a prescribed rotational angle that the component 3 is mounted on a printed board 4. Then, the drive 2 is driven, and when the nozzle 1 concerned is located at a component mounting position (c), it mounts the component 3 on the printed board 4. Furthermore, the drive 2 is made to operate, and when the nozzle 1 reaches to a nozzle rotation returning position(d), the rotational angle of the nozzle 1 is made to return to a starting angle by a nozzle rotation returning drive 6, which can be detected and ascertained by a nozzle starting point detection sensor 8. |
