<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high contrast screen by hardening resin while impressing voltage upon adjacent source signal lines after injecting ultraviolet hardening resin containing liquid crystal into a gap between an array substrate and a facing substrate. CONSTITUTION:A short ring on an array substrate 24 is separated into a short ring 16c for a gate signal line short circuit, a short ring 16a for a source signal line short circuit in odd number order and a short ring 16b for a source signal line short circuit in even number order by means of laser and/or the like. In the first place, on an array substrate 24, sealing resin obtained by dispersing fiber into ultraviolet hardening resin is applied to the vicinity of the substrate, and beads having diameters of 5 - 30mum are sprayed on a facing substrate 21. Next, the array substrate 24 and the facing substrate 21 are positioned so as to be pasted together, and ultraviolet rays are radiated so as to harden the sealing resin. Next, it is put into a vacuum chamber so as to immerse in liquid crystal solution, and one terminal of a signal generator 14 is connected to the ring 16b, and the other terminal is connected to the ring 16a, and while impressing rectangular waves of 10 - 200Hz, the resin is hardened by means of ultraviolet ray radiation.</p> |
