PURPOSE:To improve the starting capability by a method wherein a tube in which a latent heat storage material is encapsulated is arranged around the outer periphery of a pipe on the refrigerant flow-in side for an indoor heat exchanger, and latent heat is made to emit from the latent heat storage material and is frozen to heat a refrigerant in the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A latent heat storage material 19 in a tube 1 which is arranged around the outer periphery of a pipe 17b in the vicinity of an indoor heat exchanger 13 melts by heat of a refrigerant gas with a high temperature and high pressure, which flows in the pipe 17b at the time of heating operation, and stores latent heat. When the operation is stopped, and the flow of the refrigerant gas stops, the latent heat storage material 19 lowers its temperature to not higher than the freezing point by natural cooling, and maintains a stable liquid phase for supercooling. When heating is resumed, when a physical stimulation is added to the latent heat storage material 19 by a stimulation adding means 2, the latent heat storage material 19 emits the stored latent heat and freezes instantly, and heat the refrigerant in the pipe 17b. At this time, the pipe 17b quickly and favorably transmits the heat, and the refrigerant in the pipe 17b quickly raises its temperature. By this method, hot air can be blown into a room approximately right after resuming of heating operation, and the starting capability is improved. |
