PURPOSE:To achieve optimum stability and controllability and riding comfort ableness which correspond to situation by changing over stability and controllability emphasized mode and riding comfortableness emphasized mode, and reflecting both characteristics of stability and controllability and riding comfortableness emphasis in the control of attenuation force. CONSTITUTION:An attenuation force generating pattern of a shock absorber is changed in accordance with vibration conditions of a vehicle which is detected by a means A. In the above attenuation force controller, the attenuation force generating pattern is usually set to a relatively large value, and it is changed to a relatively small value by stability and controllability emphasized mode realization means B in accordance with changes of road surface which are detected from vibration condition of vehicle. The attenuation force generating pattern is usually set to a relatively small value, and it is changed to a relatively large value by a riding comfortableness empasis mode realization means C in accordance with changes of posture of vehicle which are detected from vibration condition of vehicle. The above-mentioned two mode realization means B, C are changed over by a mode change-over means D in accordance with command. |
