In equipment for prepn. of multiphase mixts. (esp. suspensions) for analysis, including a sample line (1), a solids sepn. filter and filtrate delivery lines (6,6',6''), the novelty is that - (a) the filter is a self-cleaning, back-flushable, cross-flow filter (5); (b) a three-way switch-over valve (7) is provided with its first connection (a1) connected to the filtrate line (6), its second connection (a2) connected to a back-flushing medium source (8) and its third connection (a3) connected to a filtrate delivery line (6'); and (c) a gas bubble removing device is provided in the filtrate delivery line (6'). USE/ADVANTAGE - The equipment is esp. useful for prepg. waste water samples for analysis by gas chromatography or high pressure liq. chromatography. It can be operated for a long time without servicing.
