PURPOSE:To unify the composition by preparing powdery mixtures respectively having a uniform composition respectively composed of a group of elements constituting A cite and B cite (B and/or C), mixing and fining plural powdery mixtures respectively composed of B cite elements for preparation of a solid solution and mixing and firing the resultant solid solution and the above-obtained powdery mixtures composed of A cite elements. CONSTITUTION:In production of the subject solid solution, e.g. having a general formula of formula I (x + y = 1, x, y = 0, b = c, a + b x x + c x y = 6, q>=2), a precipitate of a compound containing the elements mentioned below in a prescribed ratio and forming an oxide after firing is obtained from an aqueous solution containing element ions B1<(b+)>, B2<(b+)>,..., Bq<(b+)>. The resultant precipitate is dried or heated to obtain a mixture of fine powders of compounds containing elements B1, B2, ..., Bq and the obtained mixture is blended with a powder of a compound of an element C forming an oxide after firing in a ratio of x:y. The resultant mixture is fired to obtain a solid solution of formula II. The obtained solid solution is then pulverized and the resultant powder is mixed with a powder of an A element compound forming an oxide after firing in a prescribed ratio followed by firing. |
